We made it…

We finally made it to Chicago. Actually we’re in Oak Park Village right now. But it’s close to the metro system so Micheal won’t have to worry about driving into the city and finding parking.rnrnI did pretty good on my diet during the trip. My daily calorie average was below the 1500 I’ve allowed myself. I still don’t have a scale available at the moment and I can’t see any evidence of weight loss, but I’m going to find a new doctor. Between us, maybe we can figure out why I’m having so much trouble losing weight, and get rid of some of this pain. That will help a lot.

Going to Chicago

Right now we’re in Northeast Arkansas. We got here this past Sunday just before the tornadoes started hitting. A small town of about 1100, about 20 miles north of here, was totally demolished! As of this afternoon, we’ll be leaving early Sunday morning for Chicago. Micheal has a job with an international law firm with a 2+ year contract so it looks like we’ll finally be settling down for a while. We’ll spend the first couple of months living in an extended stay while we look for an apartment or house then we’ll go to North Carolina and get our funtiture. So, once we find an area to settle in I’ll be able to find out what resources are available…maybe some support groups for the fibro, and of course there will be fitness centers.

In New Mexico

Well, we’ve made it to Moriarty, New Mexico. That’s about 30 miles east of Albuquerque. We stopped in Albuquerque to see Micheal’s son. So far the trip’s been pretty good. I’ve managed to stay in the 1500 to 2000 calorie range and that’s really good considering.rnrnTomorrow night we’ll either stay in Oklahoma City, or in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Then we’ll be in Northeast Arkansas at my Dad’s sometime Sunday evening.
