Good Morning

Good morning, Y?all!

This morning started out just wonderful.  The power went out and stayed off for over an hour!!  My coffee got cold and I couldn?t get on the computer, watch TV, listen to the radio or anything!  The quiet was kinda nice, but now my coffee?s hot again, and everything?s up and running.

Now, I want to clarify something from my last post.  I?m not a person that makes a big deal out of things.  Things aren?t that important to me.  I wouldn?t care if I didn?t have anything more than costume jewelry or any at all.  I don?t want designer clothes, a big house, fancy cars or anything like that.  But, I do cherish gifts that people give me out of love, and if one of those gifts gets damaged or lost, I do get upset because I feel as if the person that gave it to me may think it wasn?t important to me.  It?s not so much the gift itself, as the thought that went into the giving.  I cherish the charm that Nikki sent me just as much as the opals Micheal gave me.  That?s why I was so upset over the earrings.  Micheal took the time and spent the money to get me something nice, and then something not so nice happens to it.  Yeah, it?s only jewelry, but Micheal bought it for me, and that makes it special.  But when Micheal spends money on something like that, he does demand quality, and we definitely didn?t get that.

I did take the earrings back to the jewelry store, and they got all snippy and said there was nothing they could do about it.  Finally they said they could send them for a repair estimate, but I?d have to pay for the repair.  So, I?ll find out in a week what it will cost to repair them.  After Micheal got home, he called their customer support line and told them he wouldn?t be spending any more money at Kay?s.

We didn?t do much this weekend.  Micheal had to work part of the day Saturday.  We were going to go to the casino yesterday but it was rainy, so we decided to just stay home.  We did go out shopping, though.  We went to Sam?s and found a Shiatsu massage cushion that?s almost as good as the massage chairs at the nail salon!  Guess what?there?s one on my couch right now, and boy is it nice.  And, I got a lot of walking in at Sam?s and at Best Buy.

Mary, I’m the same way over gifts given to me from people I care about, it doesn’t matter what it is, big or small. Things like that mean alot ot me! You have a great day!

I’m the same way with gifts Mary and it’s worse when it’s from someone I care deeply about because it makes it that much more meaningful.  I think the earrings getting ruined was a disppointment and unfortunately, I think it’s going to be pretty expensive to fix.  I hope I’m wrong.

Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me if I offended you!! Hahahah!! I’m being silly Mary.  I know you’re not shallow and I know you’re not materialistic, so if my message to you sounded as if that’s what I thought, please forgive me.  I am almost sure that’s not what my message implied, but sometimes our high-tech way of life gets us into trouble.  Our messages get lost in translation!!

Glad you got some quiet time my sweets.  And BTW, I need your snail mail address!! You can e-mail that to me, please!

Sorry to hear you will have to pay to get your earrings fixed. That stinks. I am glad to hear that your hubby let Kays customer service know how he feels. I too do the same thing when I feel I have recieved poor service or am not happy with a product I buy. We as consumers spending our hard earned money need to demand quality for what we pay.

I too also treasure my gifts from loved ones, from jewelry my husband has bought to a rock my granddaughter Natasha gave me (yes a rock).

    Your massager sounds wonderful.

    Have an awesome day!
