Waiting it out…
We’re preparing for company. Hanna’s coming to see us and we have to get ready! She should be here sometime Friday. Her brother and sister will be here not long after her and we have so much to do! We have to put the patio furniture, BBQ grill and pool toys in the shed, cover the pool, pick up any small loose branches in the yard, finish the video of the interior contents of our house, get our important papers locked away. Yeah, I’m talking about hurricane Hanna. I wish it was a person named Hanna, but it’s not. We’ve never been through a hurricane before. Our neighbors say there’s not been damage from hurricanes in this area since Hugo, 18 years ago. We’re not quite sure yet if we’ll head inland or just hang out here. We’re about 25 miles from the coast, but I’m not sure that’s gonna matter that much.
But, if I go unheard from for a few days, don’t panic. If we evacuate, my laptop will probably go with me. If we don’t, we may be without power for a few days, so my laptop will be useless because the battery is shot. Oh well.
Ok, so I’m gonna try to curb the stress eating. Actually, I don’t think there’s gonna be any time for stress eating today! There’s just too much to do! I did have some Fiber One for breakfast, so I did good there. And if we evacuate, I have a bunch of yogurt I’ll pack in my cooler bag and take with me.
Well, off to get busy.
Well you had me going there, I thought you were talking about one of your grandkids til I read further.
I hope you and Michael stay safe and that your home etc isn’t affected by the hurricane.
It is good to be prepared though isn’t it.
You take care
I feel for all of you affected by the hurricanes.
We don’t get them around where I live but I keep hearing about the devastation of them and its just awful.
Stay safe

Oh oh Mary. Well, I’ve been living in hurricane state for 10 years and Cats 1 and 2 are usually VERY wet and mostly involve flooding and accidents resulting from that. Usually they go by fast and people think they can go out and explore - not a good idea because that’s how the accidents happen from power lines that are down and can’t be seen (electricutions) and things like that. We usually stay in the 24 hours following the hurricane to be safe and things work out. Stay safe!!!!!
Please stay safe, Mary! Praying for you!

Sending good thoughts and prayers your way!
Big HUGS!
